My last cross country season EVER ended last week. I had a great race. I PR’d, felt good, my friends and family were there. Aside from falling a little short of my overall goal of qualifying for nationals… I couldn’t have asked for a better race. I don’t think it’s possible for me to describe what running means to me or what cross country and the people I’ve met and places I’ve been have meant. So I’m not even going to attempt.
From little baby freshman….
To Grandma 5th year…
It’s been an incredible experience. And more than just my hair color has changed in my life and who I am because of it. I love UVU and wouldn’t in a million years trade where I’ve gone for school and running. I can honestly say I have no regrets. What a great blessing that is.
And… to a beginning….
I’d like to give a big welcome back to this event! Ok so technically I won’t do this until March but I can officially let myself start focusing on it so I’m excited.
And a special thanks to my eternal man roommate, parents, siblings, friends, teammates, and especially to all the coaches who I’ve had over the years. I wouldn’t be where I am or who I am without you. For you, and for the experiences running has given me, I thank God for every single day.
