Transitions & A Classroom

August 11, 2014

Lots of changes around here lately… and lots of good times.

  • I start teaching next week… I’m excited, a little nervous, and happy to finally be getting a paycheck. I put pictures up of my classroom.  Sorry they’re not high quality but it is what it is, ha ha.  Thanks to my dad and Brandon, my life long obsession with the Jazz & the dollar store for helping me get it set up.
  • We went on a small trip up to Boise with my twin, Tosha, and cute baby E.J. We had a picnic off a random stop in some rocks, visited some of Tosha’s family, and played with the nephew.   It was fun even though it was short.
  • I’m reading the book, “The Other Wes Moore”… I’d recommend it, especially to any teachers or future teachers or anyone who cares to understand the world and people a little better.  The author, Wes Moore, spoke at my graduation and I really love the way he views life and how real he is.  It’s an awesome book and a good read.
  • This summer I have actually read books.  It’s a pretty big feat for me.  Not only that, but I completed my goals of reading a series, a classic, a multicultural studies book and I read 1 more on top of that!  Gold star on my chart on the fridge.   I like reading; but only when I want to and only when I don’t have other things I need to be doing.
  • Go Jazz.
Enjoy the pictures!

Shout out to Kyle Reyes for the inspiration for this board.  It’s going to be a theme throughout my lessons & class.

Also Kyle Reyes, the above board is dedicated to you.  😉

THANKS! It is a bit shorter than a huge paper… but we'll still have them write it too, ha ha. Thanks for all of your curriculum you gave me. It's been a wonderful help!
