It seems like just about every year since high school I’ve spent my actual birthday traveling somewhere for cross country. Whether it was Bob Firman in high school, Roy Griak for UVU, or this year’s Portland trip as a coach, a little cross country race always make it feel a little more like my birthday.
I think though so far my favorite thing was seeing the Nike track that literally has a forest in the middle of it. So cool!
Plus having a few days off from teaching and being in nature hasn’t been too bad either. Traveling like this makes me so nostalgic for my college days where we would travel every other weekend all over the country.
All in all this has been a pretty fantastic trip. Well, for me at least. My poor hubby has had to deal with a broken sprinkler and leaky roof while I’ve been away. If that wasn’t ever bad timing I don’t know what was! Oh the joys of owning your own home 🙂
Until next time!!
