So…. the end of the school year was FLYING by!! And then all of a sudden the Jazz were out of the playoffs and each day was SOOOOOOOO long, ha ha ha.
Oh Jazz. How I love you. It was heaven on earth having them be in the playoffs…. and winning! Well. That is until round two when we got our butts whooped! But here’s to us finally not being terrible!
Brandon and I went to game 6 of Round 1. It seriously was the best ever! We went up pretty early to Salt Lake and were one of the first fans to the door. We also randomly ran into Greg Miller at City Creek and he seemed to really appreciate our attire… and my staring at him with my mouth open for a solid 10 seconds.
I think one of the things I love most about playoff games is the environment. Everyone is on time. EVERYONE is screaming the whole game! It’s like entering a different heavenly world and I absolutely love it.
Other than the Jazz we’ve been up to a lot of fun and busy activities.
^^I finished up my first complete year at the U of U and was awarded a fellowship. I was so grateful to receive this and am absolutely loving my major and schooling. We [Brandon and I] went to a fancy banquet [the kind where you wonder which fork to use] and were able to rush out just in time to catch, you guessed it, a Jazz game. I think it’s safe to say I have a problem.
My sister walked for her MBA graduation at UVU. UVU is the beeeeessssttt. President Eyering spoke at the commencement and we were able to buy popcorn and Dr. Pepper to entertain us. It was a great time and we are so proud of my sister and all she does!
^^UVU alumni WOOHOO!
One of the things I don’t blog about often [or really ever take pictures of] is serving the young women in my ward. The ladies in the picture below are some of the awesome people I work with. They are kind, funny, sacrifice their time, and are amazing human beings. I’m grateful to work with them and learn from them as we try and help the youth!
Something that I love about working with the youth is the things that I learn. Our Bishop came in and taught the lesson this last Sunday. He talked a lot about why we care what our friends think about us more than what God thinks about us. Though I don’t have the same struggles as a teen I thought it was super relevant to some things I want to improve on right now. I am a huge people pleaser and though I don’t think that’s always a bad thing, I really appreciated the reminder that at the end of the day it really only matters what God thinks of me. And personally, I think He can be much kinder than other people.
Overall though we are doing great and are REAAAAALLLY looking forward to Summer! We got this!
